Pushing out babies shoving in needles, from infertility to fertility and back again here's the story of my successful IVF journey, the birth and the first year with la petite Charlotte

I understand the reluctance to know dates. I'm hoping the higher dose of Gonal F (is that what you are on?) will do the trick this time. Love hearing little S in the background. His "bye" sounds very American (well, English) to me.
Your point defining the difference between superstition and self preservation makes a whole lot of sense. I don't tell anyone anymore, except of course someone else who's also doing IVF and knows what that's all about. Our chances are so slim anyway... That's the reason we're not telling anyone in my husband's family at all about any dates whatsoever. We did mention that we'd be giving it another try to his sister, but not when. The 'code' seems to be when we meet, they ask me if I'd like a glass of wine. The room falls silent because everyone knows that if I decline on the wine, we're still in a good place. I'm so glad you survived the visit from les beaux - the dinner they were 'decorating the nursery' must have been a long one. Hugs.
